Step by step instructions are available below the video.
 

 

1. Access:  Locate and access course content

Course content is located in the Content section of the D2L course.

  2. Click on a Module in the table of contents.

2. Navigate:  Navigate content from within course topics

You can navigate course content from within a specific topic without returning to the table of contents.
Please click on Access above if you don't know how to open a topic.

  1. In a module in content, open a particular topic.
  2. To move forward or backward in the module, click on the arrows at the top right of the topic page.image of an open topic with the navigatin arrows at top right circled

     

  3. To navigate to other modules in the course, click on the side panel to expand it.image of open content topic with cloased side pantel circled

     

  4. Use the arrows to the left or right of the module name to scroll through the modules in the course.
  5. To access a topic in a particular module, click on it in the list of topics under the module name.image of open side panel with module title and arrows and a topic circled.

    Note: Click on the Table of Contents link at the top of the side panel to return to the main content page.

3. Download: Save content in a file on your computer

By downloading content in your course you can archive course materials for future reference off line.

  1. To download all course materials:
    a.  In Content, click on Table of Contents.

    c.  Save the file on your computer.
  2. To download materials from a specific module:
    a. In Content, click on a Module.
    b. Click on the Download button.image of content with a module circled and download button circled
    c. Save the file on your computer.
  3. To download a particular topic (file) from within a module:
    a. In Content, click on a Module.
    b. Click on the chevron to the right of the Topic name.
    c. Select Download.image of content with chevon to the right of a topic circled and download selected in the dropdown menu
    d. Save the file to your computer.

4. Print:  Print content from a course site

Print content.

  1. To print the Table of Contents:
    a. In Content, click on Table of Contents.

  2. To print a specific module:
    a. In Content, click on a Module.

  3. To print a particular topic from within a module:
    a. Click on the Topic to open it.
    b. Scroll to the bottom of the topic, click the Print button.image of a topic with the print button at the bottom of the topic circled

    Note: The print button is only available for topics that are web pages and Word Docs.  The button does not appear for pdfs.

5. Tips and Troubleshooting: Accessing Content

Having trouble accessing Content?

  • If you are unable to open a video link (and it says "Powered by Panopto" or "Click here to request access"), you may just need to authenticate your Panopto access.
  • To do this, click on UA Tools in the navbar and select Panopto from the drop down list.Panopto

     

  • A new window will open to the Panopto file for the course. Return to the D2L course content page and click on the link for the video again.

Still not playing?

  • You may need to clear your cache. Browser specific steps are detailed here: https://refreshyourcache.com/en/home/.
  • We recommend using Chrome or Firefox.
  • Switch to a different browser. 

Link to a quiz, discussion, or assignment folder not working?

  • Go directly to the Quiz navbar link, Discussion navbar link, or the Assignment navbar link.Navbar

     

Links in a module not working?

  • If you can see a link in a module but it does not open, your Instructor may have set a start date well in the future, or created a release condition to access the link. Start Date

     

  • If you are certain you should have access, contact your Instructor.
