Drawing provides you with a set of pens and an eraser to draw freehand on the document. When you select a pen, a secondary toolbar appears with the specific options for that pen tool. -
The Note tool adds an icon of your choosing to the document. When the student clicks it, a note pops open on the page to reveal the text you entered. This tool is useful if you have lots of comments and don't want to overwhelm the student with text boxes.
- The Text tool is similar to Note except the text is always viewable. It is good for short comments and highlights.
- The Line tool is used to draw simple shapes and lines. As with all tools, a secondary toolbar will display the options for each tool.
- There are a couple of ways to mark up text in the student submission. You can highlight an area of text or double click the text to bring up the toolbar to Highlight, Underline, Strikethrough, or Squiggle text.
- The eraser allows you to erase free-hand placed lines, highlighter, or text.
- When the eraser function is selected, the mouse cursor becomes a white circle.
- Enter a grade for the student in the Score field.
Note: If you do not see the score box it means the assignment does not have points assigned to it. Edit the assignment and enter the maximum points that can be received, then return to grading.
